He was predeceased by: his parents, Ansel Moore and Annie Moore (O'Leary); his wife Joan (Smith); his son Leary; and his daughter-in-law Linda Belyea.

He is survived by: his sons, Terry and Stephen (Annette); his grandchildren, Natalie (Gilles), Dwayne (Karen), Alyson (Iain) and Karen (Nick); and his brothers, Wayne (Carol) and Leo (Alice). He is also survived by great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.
