She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas Smith and Eileen Smith (Blakney). She is survived by: her husband Don; her children, Kim Rickard (Tim) and Chris Wilson (Deidre) of Fredericton, NB; her grandchildren, Dan Rickard (Courtney), Kathleen Curtis (Matt MacVicar), Jamie Rickard (Kelsey Schroeder), Jacob, Samuel Wilson and Kyle Brewer; her great grandchildren, Marlee, Renna, Brody and Colby Rickard; her brother Philip; and her sister-in-law Linda Smith. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Doreen's memory can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes of Canada or the charity of the donor's choice.
