She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Stanley" Merrett and Annie Merrett; her siblings, Edward and Donna; her brother-in-law Ewart "Bud" Rushton; her nephew Stephen; her great-nephew Erich Rushton; her granddaughter Nicole Mynard; her great grandchildren, Ethan and Liam; her sister Lela Shephard; her niece Amanda "Mandy"; her brother-in-law Duncan Munn; and her nephew Keyan Noble.
She is survived by: her children, Lori and James "Jamie"; the father of her children Lawrence "Larry"; her grandson Ryan Warren (Cassandra "Cass"); her great grandchild Audrey; her granddaughter Kym Quirion; her great grandchild Carter; her brother Steadman "Stead"; her sister-in-law Albina Merrett of Mission, B. C.; her sisters, Sheila Noble (Neil), Deborah Munn and Doreen Merrett; and her brothers-in-law, Dale Nason and Richard Shepherd. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and their families, and many cousins.
A burial was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church Cemetery (373 NB-101, New Maryland, NB E3C1E5).
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Edie can be made to the MS Society Canada, the Oromocto SPCA or charity of choice.
