Edmund Reginald Price Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edmund Reginald Price (Fredericton, New Brunswick), who passed away on March 21, 2018, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Lucy Yvonne Rayner (Price); and his grandsons, Neill Francis Price and Jason Lee Daigle. He is survived by: his wife Freeda Anna; his children, Wanda Wilson (Donnie), Pam Christensen, Stephen Price (Dianne), June MacDonald (Jack), Howard Price, Bernadette MacFarlane (Michael), Joanna Price, Jerrilynn Wilkins (Russell) and Jason Price (Deana Coles); and his siblings-in-law, Vesta Price, Zola Price and Donald Ames. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
As his baby girl, Jerri Lynn so eloquently states, 'Our father was blessed with the mind of an explorer, the heart of an adventurer, the soul of a poet and the faith that his journey did not begin or end here.' And as his cousin and famous golfing buddy, Wilson Vickers summed it up, "Ed was a real gentleman'. We, his family, wholeheartedly agree. Our father's youthful desire was to study medicine, so as was his wish, his remains have been donated to the Dalhousie Medical School Human Body Donor Program, where he will be a 'silent partner' and teacher to a new generation of physicians. A Service of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary's Church, 770 McEvoy St. (Devon) on Easter Monday, April 2rd, 2018, at 2 p.m., with Fr. Kevin Stockall presiding, assisted by Fr. Thomas Smith and Mark Moir. Edmund will be laid to rest, upon his return from Halifax, at St. James the Greater Cemetery in Ludlow, NB. A time of remembrance will be held immediately following the service in the church hall. At the family's request, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edmund's memory to St. Mary's (York) Anglican Church, St. James the Greater Anglican Church or a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are in the care of McAdam's Funeral Home and Crematorium.
