He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Polchies and Annie Sacobie; his wife Bernice; his daughter Margaret; and his grandchildren, Tiffany and Lucas.

He is survived by: his children, Peter (Tina), Eldon Jr., Patrick (Melody), Lance, Catlin (Ashley), Mackenzie (Emily) and Ann Hilton (Norman); his sister Bernadine (Carl); and his grandchildren, Andrew, Cassandra, Megaghan, Jessica, Christopher, Calib, Tyler, Nevaeh, Miles, Gianna, Ashlyn, Oaklyn and Mackenzie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
