It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elizabeth Rice of Fredericton, New Brunswick, who passed away on June 30, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Blanche Harris (Thorpe) and Reid Quartmermain; her husband Charles Rice; her brother Walter Quartmermain; and her siblings-in-law, Gloria DeWolfe, Donald Hogg and Wayne Chenard.

She is survived by: her sons, Peter Rice and Andrew Rice (Heather); her siblings, Margaret Hogg and Arthur Quartmermain (Stella); her stepbrother James Harris; her siblings-in-law, Marlyn Chenard, Ann Quartmermain and Craig Sturgeon (Monica); her grandchildren, Tyron (Jessica), Thane (Grace), Tyler (Nicole), Dylan (Kaleigh), Caleb, Taylor and Tori; and her great grandchildren, Jace and Asher. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
