Evert Fictorie Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Evert Fictorie (Fredericton, New Brunswick), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 9, 2025 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Evert Fictorie to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jantje Fictorie (Vander Weide) and Gerrit Fictorie; and his siblings, Jantje Ridout (Jannie), Jantina Fictorie-Potkamp, Lammie of Die, Gerda Fictorie, Femmie Fictorie-Homburg and Willem Fictorie.

He is survived by: his wife Jeltje (Jane); his children, Trintje, Elizabeth (Gary), Irene and Gerrit (Denise); his sisters, Johanna Goudriaan of Ontario and Jantje Buiter (Henk); his grandchildren, Malcolm (Amy), Gerrit (Amanda), Sarah, Patricia (Ben), Christopher, Brandon (Jen), Kailey (Mark) and Gregory; Sjaan Fictorie. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, his family would appreciate any donations in Evert's memory to the NB Wildlife Federation or the Christian Reformed Church.
