He is survived by: his parent Phyllis DeMerchant (Taylor); his wife Carol; his children, Angela Coffey (Robert) of Silverwood, NB, Tara Marriott (Danny) of Trenton, ON, Susan DeMerchant (Belinda Gillis) of Fredericton, NB, David DeMerchant (Crystal) of Georgetown, ON and Ryan DeMerchant (Lisa) of Upper Kingsclear, NB; his grandchildren, Alicia (Scott), Ashley (Nick), Alexandra (Chris), Courteney, Chloe, Sophie, Kyle and Joshua; his great grandchildren, Ava and Lily; and his sisters, Carol Johnston (Eugene) of Easton, ME and Rita Rattray of Fredericton, NB. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
