He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Hill and Elizabeth Hill (Bell); his siblings, Laura MacDonald (Elmer Buchanan) and Arnold (Eva); and his brothers-in-law, John Smallwood and Herb MacDonald.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Hill (Jack); his children, Wayne Hill (Sheila), Debbie Shanks (Jim), Cheryl Gibb and Cathy Fallow (Bill); his grandchildren, Kendra Gibb (Allan), Matthew Gibb, Kaila Elder, Roy Hill (Lauren), Hanna Downey (Chris), Kim Connell (Rob) and Kaitlyn Fallow; his brother Gerald; and his siblings-in-law, Harold MacDonald, Goldie Smallwood and Ruth MacDonald. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family requested that memorial donations be made to the Veterans Wing of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Stan Cassidy Rehabilitation Centre or the charity of the donor's choice.
