Gezina Scholten Obituary
We announce the death of Gezina Scholten (Fredericton, New Brunswick), who passed away on July 30, 2026, at the age of 93. Gezina will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Scholten and Maria Scholten (Weekamp); her sisters, Femmy Veerkamp and Liedy; her child Liedy (Femmy Veerkamp); her brothers, Bertus, Benny, Alex, Johnny, Herman and Fransje; her children, Fransje, Herman, Johnny, Alex, Benny and Bertus; her siblings-in-law, Irene, Connie, Gerald Lourenssen and Tom Veerkamp; her nephew Neil Brewer Jr.; and her niece Alida Sowers.
She is survived by: her siblings, Nardy Lourenssen, Anny Buyting (Harry), Fientje Cameron (Joe), Theresa Scholten, Paula Tomilson (Wayne), Marilyn Gallant (Pierre), Aleida Fox (Mark), Willy (Bea) and Tony (Lea); and her siblings-in-law, Dini, Anne, Jeanette and Neil Brewer Sr.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Greener Village Food Bank.
