He was predeceased by: his parents, William McLean and Theresa McLean (Walsh); and his siblings, Eleanor, Paula, Joanne, Richard and Joseph.
He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, Tony McLean (Karen) of Fredericton, NB, Lana McLean of Fredericton, NB and Virginia Chapman (Mark) of Dieppe, NB; his grandchildren, Joel, Colin, Tyler, Mallory, Andrew, Adam and Jeremy; his siblings, Loran McLean (Jessie) of Fairvale, NB and Jeanne Hamilton of Bedford, NS; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley McLean and Kenny Gallie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oromocto Funeral Home (108 Winnebago St, Oromocto, NB E2V1C7). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (25 Loisville St, Oromocto, NB E2V1B9).
