With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Murray Lewis (Fredericton, New Brunswick), born in Sussex, New Brunswick, who passed away on March 27, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Lewis and Edith Lewis (Dyer); his daughter Carol Joy Howell; his grandson Matthew Lewis; his siblings, Rev. Gordon Lewis and Beatrice Lewis; his parents-in-law, Harry and Allena Nickerson; and his sisters-in-law, Ruth Nickerson and Lois Pearl Nickerson-Mintsis.

He is survived by : his wife Ferne Lewis (Nickerson); his son Roger Lewis (Stephanie Webb); his son-in-law Paul Howell; his grandchildren, Timothy Howell (Stacey), Diana Lewis and Laura Richardson (Seth); his great grandchildren, Everly, Avery and Quincy; his sister Jean Boyd (Bruce Boyd); and his siblings-in-law, Della Cole (late Harold Cole), Ruby McCluskey, Doris Carr (late Murray Carr), Marsha Nickerson-Ellis, Linda Shalm (Warren), John Nickerson (Corinne) and Donnie Nickerson (Rose). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
