She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Leslie and Eliza Leslie (Babe); her son Edward Walter Martin; her boyfriend Elmer Martin, Sr.; her former husband Ambrose Martin; her birth mother Lillian Daye; her son Leslie Joseph Martin; and her siblings, Edna Mae Leslie, Walter Leslie (Sonny) and Gordon H. Daye.
She is survived by: her children, Gerald Martin, Michael Martin, Elmer Martin, Jr., Ambrose Carroll, Arron Carroll, Bernice Durelle (Buff), Shirley Parise (Ted), Dorine Martin-Manuel (Melvin) and Raven Carrol; her grandchildren, Tiffany Martin, Brittany Martin, Brianna Martin (Coewan), Jordan Martin (Brad), Joey Martin (Toinette), Colin Gregan, Victoria Valeri (Evan), Rebecca Gregan, Jean-Nicholas Parise (Romane), Coulton Durelle (Kristen), Philip Martin (Alyssa) and Davis Connick; her great grandchildren, Charles, Penelope, Emmett, Leah and Atlas; her sister-in-law Helene; and her close friends, Joyce Gallagher (Barber), Rita MacAllister, Meda Titus and Connie Muise-Martin. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the York Funeral Home (302 Brookside Dr, Fredericton, NB E3A5K2). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel (302 Brookside Dr, Fredericton, NB E3A5K2).
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the NB Lung Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.
