He was predeceased by: his children, Robert (Brenda), Mark and Lisa; his grandson Nicky; his parents, Jesse Fletcher (Margaret) and Ethel Gibson (Flecther); his siblings, Elaine Brewer, Violet Murphy and Wallace; his siblings-in-law, Reg Brewer, Bill Murphy, Murray Alarie and Doreen; and his nephews, Wallace Jr. Fletcher and Jesse Fletcher.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy; his children, Gail Barrett (George), Doug (Laurie), Timmy (Vicki), Mike (Natalie) and David (Tara); his grandchildren, Sean (Jordyn), Mandy (Kevin), Matt (Chelsea), Melissa Seymour (Mike), Jonathan Henry (Hartley), Rebecca Henrey (Cody), Robbie (Danielle), Jessica (Brad), Emma and Josh; and his sisters, Betty Alarie and Esther Durelle (Maurice). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren & great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the York Funeral Home (302 Brookside Dr, Fredericton, NB E3A5K2).
Donations in John's name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
