He was predeceased by: his parents, W. A. Percy and Jeannie Astle (Wilson); his wife Joyce McAllister of Bryenton; and his brother Lorne Astle. He is survived by: his children, John W. E. (Alison), Elizabeth Rioux (Rodney), Hugh (Terri) and Mary Astle (Pat Ludwig); his grandchildren, Kelsey, Logan (Gillian), Emily, Jasmin, Trent (Robyn), Sean (Sarah), Samantha, Kimberly and Gregory; and his great grandchildren, Chloe, Madelyn and Jolene.
