He was predeceased by: his parent Edouard Basque; his wife Doralice Basque; his child Joseph Roger Basque; and his brothers, Lucien, Rheal, Ludger, Jean, Paul and George.

He is survived by: his parent Marie; his children, Dianne Brewer (Edison), Ronald (Debbie), Joanne Manuel (Brent), Brenda Basque and Ludvik (Robert); his sister Linda (Sylvain Robichaud); his grandchildren, Leticia Brewer, Jessica Smith (Bruce), Alexander Brewer, Christopher Basque (Chelsie), Jeremy Basque (Elizabeth), Chelsey Manuel (Nick), Kristen Manuel (Craig), Jacob Basque, Benjamin Basque, Kayden Basque, Thomas Smith and Clara Smith; his wife Doralice Church; and also, Agnes Basque (Brideau) and Roman Catholic Church. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
