It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Diane Thornton of Fredericton, New Brunswick, who passed away on September 15, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Joyce may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joyce touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wetmore Thornton and Edith Thornton; and her sister Joan Rees (Danny). She is survived by: her son Ryan Thornton; and her siblings, John (Terri), James (Gail), Jeff, Jerry (Kerri) and Janet (Irvine). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Scott Funeral Home (815 Main St, Woodstock, NB E7M2E9).
