She was predeceased by: her parents, John Matthews and Clara Matthews; her grandson Matthew; and her husband Malcolm Haines. She is survived by: her children, Karen Tims (Jason), Paula Wood (Stephen) and Timothy Seeley; her grandchildren, Dylan, Ekyeh, Kendra, Katelynn, Rylie and Ehtiyan; and her brother Walter (Vera).
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the York Funeral Home (302 Brookside Dr, Fredericton, NB E3A5K2). A memorial service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Katie's memory.
