She was predeceased by : her parents, Edna C. Dunphy (Flinn) and John F. Dunphy; her son Billy Burns; and her brothers, Donald Dunphy and Arnold Dunphy.
She is survived by : her husband Leo Michael David Burns; her sons, Michael Burns (Jana) of Cornwall, PEI and John Burns (Monette) of Fredericton; her grandchildren, Molly Burns, Elianna Burns and Owen Burns; and her sister-in-law Norma Patterson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
