Marlene Mabel Borden Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marlene Mabel Borden (Fredericton, New Brunswick), who passed away on August 15, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband George Havelock Borden; her parents, Laura McAleer (Muck) and Vincent McAleer; her daughter Paula; her siblings, Alfreda Storey and Jim McAleer; and her stepgrandson Kevin.
She is survived by: her stepdaughters, Terry Mahoney (Shawn) of St. Albert, AB and Tracy Borden (Mitch) of Morinville, AB; her siblings, Merva O'Donnell of McNamee, Grace Beek (Wayne) of Doaktown, Carol Clowater (Sterling) of New Bandon, Johnny McAleer of Ohio and Purney McAleer (Brenda) of Fredericton; and her siblings-in-law, Penny McAleer of New Bandon and Arvel Storey. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church (Anglican Parish of Ludlow and Blissfield), Extended Kidney Care Saint John or Hospice Fredericton (Palliative Care Resource Network Inc.).
