She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Sloan and Helen Sloan (Bowles); her former husband Samuel Hodgin; her brother George (Mary); and her grandson Andrew.
She is survived by: her husband Ted Melanson; her children, Sam Hodgin (Cheryl), Janet Piercy (Tom), Rosemarie Grubb (Ken) and Douglas Hodgin; her grandchildren, Justin (Cynthia), Travis (Julie), Aaron (Nikki), Natasha, Tiffany Campagnolo (Scott) and Sheri Daigle; her great grandchildren, Madeline, Cameron, Evan, Mickayla and Thomas; her siblings, James Sloan (late Colleen), Jack Sloan (Julia), Bobby Sloan (Gina Webb), Ann Walsh (Terry), Rita O'Hearn, Thelma Hopp (Ken), Patsy Hannam (late Phillip) and Jenny Hawes (Raymond); her niece Pamela Walsh; and her nephew Edward Sloan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bishops Funeral Home Chapel (540 Woodstock Rd, Fredericton, NB E3B2J3).
