With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Eleanor Gilbert (Fredericton, New Brunswick), who passed away on May 15, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Hayward Clark and Laura Clark (Yerxa); her siblings, Howard and Evelyn Jewett; and her siblings-in-law, Nancy Clark and Michael O'Leary.

She is survived by : her husband Henry Gilbert; her children, Douglas (Joanne) and Anne Greer (Gregory); her grandchildren, Graham Gilbert (Courtney) of Halifax, Benjamin Gilbert (Serri) of Halifax, Patrick Gilbert (Ashley) of Halifax, Beth Pelham (Mark) of Halifax, Michael Greer (Sophie) of Fredericton, Kate Greer (Matt Davis) of Fredericton and Max Greer (Dara MacPherson) of Fredericton; her great grandchildren, Abigail, Emily, Rory Gilbert, Porter Gilbert, Vada Naugle, Grady Gilbert, Hattie, Casey, Edie Pelham, Sadie, Hunter Greer, Henry Greer, Charlie, Benjamin and Mary Davis; her siblings, Jean O'Leary of Williamsville, NY and Donald Clark; and her sister-in-law Shirley Clark. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the York Funeral Home (302 Brookside Dr, Fredericton, NB E3A5K2). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel (302 Brookside Dr, Fredericton, NB E3A5K2).
