He was predeceased by: his parent Archibald Smith; his wife Pearl Smith; his daughter Cheryl Lily Smith; his nephew Angus Kerton; and his siblings, Ralph Smith, Alvin Smith, David Smith and Lillian Gourley.

He is survived by: his parent Mabel Smith (Wells); his children, Brenda Currie (Bill) of Beaverdam, Kathy Kenney (David) of Fredericton and Charles Smith (Debbie) of Nashwaak Bridge, NB; his grandchildren, Angela Noble (Jeff Forgrove), Robert Noble (Pam), Alex Currie (Jen), Jessica Kenney, Andrew Kenney, Laura Barrett (Bob) and Nicole Smith; his great grandchildren, Jamie Lee Ward (Nick), Benjamin Currie, Hannah Barrett and Adelaide Barrett; and his brothers, Delbert Smith (Alice) of Plaster Rock and Carl Smith (Marg) of Plaster Rock. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews & cousins.
