He was predeceased by: his parents, Hibbert Washburn and Mabel Washburn; his siblings, Larry Washburn (Jean), Caroline Washburn, Audrey Magee (Doug) and Diane Sloat (Charles); and his son Thomas Washburn.

He is survived by: his wife Sheila Washburn; his children, Susan Blair, Kenneth Washburn (Trudy Gallagher) and Nancy Washburn; his grandchildren, Emily, Jessica, Cameron and Suzanne; and his siblings, Barbara Dryden (Robert) and David Washburn (Anna). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
