He was predeceased by: his mother Mary (Molly); his siblings, Viola Bowser, Iona Thomas, Guy Paul, Rayfield Paul and Sherman Paul; and his granddaughter Patience Nightingale.

He is survived by: his wife Abigail Paul; his children, Patrick M. Paul, Beaver Paul, David Paul, Trenton Paul, Chrissy Paul, Kolin Paul and Summer Paul; his sister Caroline Ennis; and his former wife Verna Maskell. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
