He was predeceased by: his son Christopher Michael LaForest; his brother Raymond LaForest (Gemma); his parents, Pat Jamieson and Opal LaForest Jamieson; his parents-in-law, Milan and Cora Hoyt; and his niece Grace Emily Hoyt.
He is survived by: his wife Mavis; his son Tim LaForest (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Aaron, Natalie, Abigail, Jonas and Lucas; his son Steven LaForest (Judy); his granddaughter Sarah Andrew; his great grandchildren, Liam and Lucas Houle; his daughter-in-law Debbie LaForest; his grandchild-in-law Kelly Munn; his siblings, Patsy O'Neil (Frank), Sandra Hitchcock, Charlene Hanscomb (Perley), Carolyn Roach, Elizabeth LaForest, Patrick LaForest (Kathy), John LaForest (Kim) and Paul LaForest (Sylvie); and his close friend Roger Cormier. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
