With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Reta Myrtle Colpitts (Fredericton, New Brunswick), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Reta Myrtle left this world on March 5, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Wetmore Wasson and Sara Myrtle Wasson (Clark); and her brothers, Aubrey (Roberta), Arnold (Violet), Waldo (Eleanor), Roland (Anna), Avard (Roberta) and Dana Wasson.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Colpitts; her children, Kelly [Colpitts] Downe (Sheldon), Shawn Colpitts (Maia) and Chris Colpitts (Carolyn); her grandchildren, Ryan (Kayla), Patrick (Jeannine), Olivia, Madison, Kate, Victoria, Cameron, Sterling and Tatum; her great grandchildren, Lennon and Ramsey; and her sisters-in-law, Jane Wasson, Pauline Colpitts and Nancy Colpitts. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the McAdam's Funeral Home (160 York St, Fredericton, NB E3B3N7). A memorial service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel (160 York St, Fredericton, NB E3B3N7).
