He was predeceased by: his parent Carson Flemming; his spouse Ferne Flemming (Watson); and his sisters, Marguerite Rockwell and Marion Monroe. He is survived by: his parent Edith Flemming (Forrest); his children, Dan Flemming (Janis) of Fredericton, NB and Dianne Chapman (Kevin) of Fredericton, NB; his grandchildren, Amanda Whitehead, Stephanie Whitehead and Erica Whitehead; and his sibling's children, Jerry Rockwell (Rose), Linda Hoare (Teddy) and Donna Leroux (Ré).
