He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Ruth Stairs (Kelly) and Hollie Abram Stairs; his sister Jean Fox (Stairs); and his sons-in-law, Kelvin Wood and Phil Barton.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Irene Stairs (Reicker); his children, Kirk Stairs (Evelyn), Valerie Dutcher (Lloyd), Esther Stairs and Heather Roberts (Jason); his grandsons, Adam and Andrew Roberts; his sibling's children, Andy Fox, Mike Fox and Nancy Fischer-Fox; and his children, Morgan Perry (Brenden), Dallas, Lachlan, Erica Wilbur (Ira), Levi, Stella, Josh Muise (Lisa) and Phoebe.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Gibson Memorial United Church (183 Gibson St, Fredericton, NB E3A4E4).
