She was predeceased by: her husband Henry Nicks (Harry); her parents, Alexander Gillis and Corrine Gillis (Benoit); her siblings, Jemma Doucette, James and Ralph Gillis; and her children-in-law, Gail Nicks (Weatherby) and Steve Read.
She is survived by: her children, Corrine Agnew (Cedric), Elaine Read, Bert Nicks (Gen), Sid Nicks (Diane) and Wayne Nicks (Debbie); and her sisters, Betty Doucette, June Gillis and Paulette Tedford. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Theresa's Parish (1 William St, Fredericton, NB E3A1N1). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Theresa's Catholic Church, Alzheimer's NB or the charity of the donor's choice.
