He was predeceased by: his parent Esther Thébeau; his siblings, Ange, Alban, Dolphé, Nérée, Cécile Comeau (Dolphé) of Hartford, Louise Comeau (Alyre) of Saint, Ignace Tremblay and Thérèse Tremblay (Magella) of Montréal; and his former wife May Daigle of Saint.

He is survived by: his parent Luc A. Richard; his wife Émilia Comeau; his children, Luc of Bouctouche and Gisèle of Saint; his grandson Matthieu of Richibucto; and his siblings, Achille (Rita) of Naugatuck, Connecticut and Anna Sirois (Henri) of Grand Falls. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
