He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Leonard "Tom" and Eva Irene Astle (Hunter); his siblings, Kendall Astle, Tommy Astle (late June Astle), Duane Astle and Shirley Johnston; and his in-laws, Garnet and Helen MacKinnon.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Jeanette Astle (MacKinnon); his daughter Lisa Astle-Stairs (Matt Stairs); his granddaughters, Nicole Sylvia Stairs (Tyler Holland) of Fredericton, NB, Alicia Danielle-Helen Stairs of Fredericton, NB and Chandler Madison Stairs (Alex Cincurak) of Fredericton, NB; his great grandchildren, Harper and Harley; his siblings, Jeanne Black (Terry Black) of Fredericton, NB and Reggie Astle (Nora) of Astle, NB; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Astle of Astle, NB, Diane Astle of Boiestown, NB, Mavis Clarkson (late Gordon Clarkson) of Tay Creek, NB and Fred Johnston of Durham Bridge, NB. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
