He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Edward Bernard and Catherine Cory Bernard (Connell); his wife Rhoda Marie Bernard (Carr); his son Thomas Albert Bernard (Gagetown); and his siblings, Thomas, Herbert Bernard and Frances Bernard-Cormier.
He is survived by: his children, Patrick, Betty Ann Lavallee (Michel Lavallee) and Michael Bernard (Lorraine Augustine); his grandchildren, Patrick Bernard, Trevor Lavallee (Tara), Jack Bernard (Brandi), Michelle Bernard, Betty Ann Bernard, Patrick Bernard Jr., Dakota Bernard and Micheal Cook (Susan); and his sister Donna Bernard-Richard (Louie Richard).
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Oromocto Funeral Home (108 Winnebago St, Oromocto, NB E2V1C7). A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel (108 Winnebago St, Oromocto, NB E2V1C7). A reception was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Legion Oromocto Branch #93.
