She was predeceased by: her parents, Bliss Arsenault and Genevieve Arsenault; and her siblings, Anita Cormier, Nancy Cormier (Tim), Leo Arsenault (Gisele) and Louis Arsenault.

She is survived by: her husband France Hebert; her children, Joshua Hebert (Darlene), Shawn Hebert (late Kristine) and Sharon Hebert (Chris); her granddaughter Aleah Hebert Whiteley; and her sisters, Marguerite Leger (Jean-Paul) of Shediac, Yvonne Goguen (Emery), Linda Babineau (Reginald) of Cap-Pele, Carmella Cormier (Armand) of Cocagne, Albertine Belliveau (Raymond) of Dieppe and Jeanine Leblanc (Roger) of Bouctouche. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint-Henri-De-Barachois RC Church (1350 NB-133, Grand-Barachois, NB E4P8G7). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.

Memorial donations in Irene's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
