She was predeceased by : her parents, Allen Bateman and Hattie Jane Bateman; her husband Nelson Howard Sheaves; her brother Albert Bateman; and her siblings-in-law, Edmund "Ted" Mercer, Edward Sheaves, Roland Sheaves, Gordon Butler, William Frampton, Laura Mercer, Mary Bateman, Florence Sheaves, Priscilla Sheaves and Kay Sheaves.
She is survived by : her children, Allan Sheaves (Colette) of Baie Verte, Rick Sheaves (Theresa) of Port, Roland Sheaves (Cindy) of Port, Basques and Barbara Sheaves (Ken Hollett) of St. John's; her great grandchild Cody; her siblings, Jean Walters (Albert), Hazel Frampton, Junior Bateman (Sheila) of Port, Melvin Bateman (Edwina) of Port and Basques; and her sister-in-law Ruth Butler of St. John's.
Due to current public health advisory of COVID-19 there will be a private family service on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2pm from East Haven Funeral Home officiated by Joan Chaisson with interment to follow at United Church Cemetery, TCH Funeral arrangements in the care of East Haven Funeral Home Inc, 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques, NL (709)-695-2300.
Our mother loved all types of flowers therefore flowers are graciously accepted or a donation in her memory can be made to her local church of which she was a member for over 60 years- Wesley United Church Local Fund, Port aux Basques, NL, A0M 1C0.
