He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Merrill and Elsie Merrill (Bishop); his siblings, Elwood, Walter (Hilda), Isla Chedore (Reginald) and Ola Merrill; and his brother-in-law Duncan Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine (Greer).
