It is with sadness that the passing of Alvin Donovan (Hampton, New Brunswick) is shared. Alvin, born on December 22, 1962, passed away on October 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Donovan and Sarah Donovan (MacLellan); his brother Paul Donovan; and his in-laws, George Dubé and Imelda Dubé (Aubé).
He is survived by: his wife Olivia Donovan (Dubé) of Hampton, NB; his children, Alex (Susie Youn) of Winnipeg, MB, Chris Donovan (Tess Allen) of Saint John, NB and Patrick Donovan (Lee Murphy) of Clifton Royal, NB; his grandchildren, Yuna Donovan, Willow Allen-Donovan, Brahm Murphy and Cadence Murphy; his siblings, Ken Donovan (Barb Donovan) of Ingonish Cape Breton, Lila Donovan Kelly (Jeff Kelly) of Allison, NB, Stewart Donovan (Wanda Paul) of Fredericton, NB, Glenn Donovan (Sarah Donovan) of Woodstock Ontario, John Donovan of Ottawa Ontario, Lisa Donovan (Francis Warr) of New Haven Cape Breton, Leo Gene Donovan (Janice Phee-Donovan) of Ingonish and Cape Breton; his sister-in-law Maureen Donovan (Dana Doucet Donovan); his in-laws, Michel Dubé (Stacie Kelly) of Halifax, Jacques Dubé (Nancy Dubé) of Bathurst and Richard Dubé of Halifax; and his caregivers, Dr. James Mowatt, Dr. Jenny Lim, Dr. Christian Mackin, Dr. Emily Love, Dr. Julia Wildish and Dr. Robert Fisher. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Reid's Funeral Home (1063 Main St, Hampton, NB E5N5X9). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Reid's Funeral Home Chapel (1063 Main St, Hampton, NB E5N5X9).
