He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hawkes and Ida Hawkes (Paisley); his wife Vivian Hawkes (Kincaid); his son Daniel; and his brother Paul.
He is survived by: his stepgrandson Alex Alward (Jannelta); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Cole, Xander and Paisley; and his brothers, Robert Hawkes (Peggy) of Fredericton, NB and John Hawkes (Geraldine) of Coal Creek, NB. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
