He was predeceased by : his brother Kenneth Roy Smith; and his grandparents, Fred, Grace Healey, Roy and Mary Smith.

He is survived by : his parents, Douglas Smith and Sandra Smith (Healey); his siblings, Timothy Johnston of Belleisle, NB and Heidi MacKay (Graham) of Warman, SK; and his nieces and nephews, Taylor Johnston, Connor Smith, Emily Smith, Quintin MacKay and Sawyer MacKay. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
