She was predeceased by: her parents, Thorvald Pedersen and Johanna Pedersen (Anderson); her husband John Szalma; and her sister Ruth Anderson. She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth Szalma (Troy DeMerchant) of Quispamsis, NB; and her grandchildren, Lee DeMerchant and Laura DeMerchant. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
