He was predeceased by : his parents, Ashley H. Tompkins and Elva M. Tompkins (Collier); his brother Roy; his niece Vicki Tompkins-Murray; and his father-in-law Jack Stephens.

He is survived by : his significant other Marie (Stephens); his mother-in-law Jean Stephens; his sons, Tony, Troy (Debbie), Ricky (Lynn) and Timmy; his grandchildren, Jocelynn, Jessica Davis (Matt), Justin and Zack; his great grandchildren, Brandon, Alexandria, Zoe and Mason; his sibling Candyce Johnson; and his sister-in-law Elaine Tompkins.

Due to the Covid-19 health crisis, there will be no public visitation.
