He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Smith and Laura Smith (Hickey); his former wives, Charlene Smith (Hallett) and Muriel Smith (Cook); and his brothers, Roy Willis and Eugene Smith (Shirley).
He is survived by: his wife Laurel Anne Smith; his son Randi Smith (Rhonda); his grandchildren, Amanda Smith, Cassie Smith (Scott Masson), Sommer Smith and Mason Smith (Naomi); his great grandchildren, Aaron Page and Logan Sharkey; and his stepchildren, Nora Clark (Wayne), Neil Smith (Emily), Laurence Smith (Mary), Susan DeMerchant (Todd), Ann Lipscombe (Grant), Doug Cook (Darlene), Nancy Haynes (Geoffrey), Susan Culberson (Ray) and Hoot.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home (2 High St, Hartland, NB E7P 2L2). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Hartland Baptist Church (349 Main St, Hartland, NB E7P2N1).
In lieu of flowers. Donations made to the Hartland Baptist Church, Greenwood Cemetery, Atlantic Salmon Federation or to a charity of the donor's, choice.
