He is survived by: his children, Michelle Carten, Amanda Carten, Jonnie-Marie Weeks and Justin DeMerchant; the mother of his children Bridgette Carten; his grandchildren, Jaxon, Alex, Olivia, Benjamin, Pria, John and Aria; his siblings, Marie Carten (Jeffrey Page), Eldon Carten (Sheila), Laurie Donovan (Michael), Lynn Cronje (David) and Brent Carten (Daphne); and his brother-in-law Murray DeMerchant. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
