He was predeceased by: his parents, Romuald and Catherine (Léger); his daughter Claudette; and his siblings, Alcide, Roger, Roméo, Arthur, Normand, Rolande Ouellette and Rose LeBlanc.

He is survived by: his wife Fernande Melanson (LeBlanc); his children, Michel (Gabrielle) of Dieppe, Sylvie Boudreau (Michel) of Shediac and Nicole Melanson (Roger) of Grand-Barachois; his brothers, Henri of Grand-Barachois and Léo of Moncton; his grandchildren, Cynthia, Jesse, Amélie, Lucas, Monica and Janelle; and his great grandchildren, Hailey, Zackary, Zoey, Mélie and Kamie. He is also survived by several nieces and, nephews.

In memory of Omer, a contribution to the New Brunswick Lung Association or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
