He was predeceased by: his spouse Willemina Kroon (Boekee); his parents, Piet Kroon and Willemine Kroon (Vermeer); his children, Coleen Hopey and Jeffery Kroon; and his siblings, Truus Marshal, Janna Tjeeres, Annie Dejong, Simon Kroon, Willem Kroon and Jacob Kroon.

He is survived by: his children, Ellen Daigle (Danny) of Fredericton, Jon Kroon of Hawkshaw and Wilt-Andrew Kroon (Lori) of Fredericton; his son-in-law David Hopey of Fredericton; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Devon, Colton, Andrew, Ethan and Jordan; his stepgrandchildren, Kate and Ryan; his great grandchildren, Maddie, Macen, Ellah and Lauren; and his siblings, Wil Knobbe, Margerata Tuinman, Johannes "Joop" Kroon (Ria) and Cornelis Kroon (Willy).
