With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald Herbert Squires (Hopewell Cape, New Brunswick), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 30, 2026 at the age of 69. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Gerald may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Squires and Mabel Squires (Vaters). He is survived by: his wife Lori; his son Chad Squires of Stoney Creek; his brothers, Phillip (Elaine), Malcolm (Lynda) and James; and his close friend Bliss Nelson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many extended family.
