She was predeceased by: her parent Frederick Caissie; her husband Leo; and her siblings, Ida Neilson and Fidel Caissie. She is survived by: her parent Bella Caissie (Thibodeau); her significant other Frank Orman; her children, Jacqueline Gauvin of Montreal and Michael Gauvin of Hopewell Hill; her grandchildren, Katrina and Michael; and her siblings, Rita Gauvin of Saint John, Marion O'Donnell of Saint John, Doris Hutton of Montreal, Gerard Caissie of Moncton, Norman Caissie of Boston and Ulysse Caissie of Toronto.

Donations in Marie's memory made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
