He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard McCorkell and Marilyn McCorkell; his siblings, Eldon, Margaret and Mable; and his father-in-law Walter Leighton.
He is survived by: his significant other Dorothy Leighton; his daughter Janet (Richard Foster); his grandchildren, Zekiel and Jayleigh; his siblings, Betty, Hazel, Phyllis, Timmy and Calvin; his siblings-in-law, Shawna Grant, Winston, Greg and Kevin Leighton; and his mother-in-law Patricia Leighton. He is also survived by several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 24th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carleton Funeral Home (337 Lockhart Mill Rd, Jacksonville, NB E7M3S5). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
