He never stops playing and the dancers never tire." On Wednesday, April 11, 2018, Freddie (Fred) Wallace Brewer of Keswick Ridge, NB, completed his earthly journey at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Fred was 77. Born at Stone Ridge, NB, he was a son of the late Tilley and Ina (Lawrence) Brewer. Fred was a hard worker all his life and was employed as a Lumber Grader with M. L. Wilkins and Son Ltd., Fredericton, for almost 30 years. His carpentry skills were appreciated by many of his family and friends. Fred was a talented musician and enjoyed playing the Fiddle and Guitar at the many concerts and benefits held throughout the surrounding communities. An avid outdoors person, he loved to hunt and fish. Known for not standing still to long, he found great enjoyment tinkering about attempting to repair or improve something. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Fred was passionate when it came to family and he loved them dearly. He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his devoted wife of 40 years, Marilyn (Burris) Brewer. Fred was so proud of his two sons, Rob (Lindsay) of Burtts Corner and Mike (Ashley) of Douglas. His four grandchildren, Walker, Avrie, Jordyn and Paisley brought so much joy to his heart and life. They were his sunshine. Fred also leaves behind brothers Wendell (June), Bernard (Darlene) and Earl (Joann) also sisters, Shirley Hanson (late Ardine), Barb Brewer (Wilder), Alice Jones (Burtis), Bertha Brewer (Dean) and Verna Morehouse (Clayton) as well as several nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents, a sister Lorna (Eldon) Brewer predeceased him. On Tuesday evening, April 17, 2018 an informal gathering celebrating the life of Fred Brewer will be held at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment will be private. No flowers please, contributions to the Alzheimer Society of NB, Chalmers Foundation (Palliative Care Unit) or to a favorite charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
