With solemn reverence, we commemorate Hugh Alexander Philpott (Keswick Ridge, New Brunswick), born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, whose life came to an end on September 30, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving behind cherished memories. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Hugh may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his wife Reta; his parents, Hugh and Flora (Kerr); and his sister Catherine Meddins. He is survived by: his children, John (Cathy) and Kathryn (Kent); his pet Maggie; and his granddaughters, Karen (Brad), Lori (Nick) and Susan.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Keswick Ridge United Church (503 NB-616, Keswick Ridge, NB E6L1S6).
Memorial donations may be made to Keswick Ridge United Church, or Shriners Hospital, Montreal, or Elder Dog, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
